Sampson wows Cobblers chairman

Cardoza entrusted Sampson with the task of revitalising the Cobblers' season after sacking Stuart Gray in September and Saturday's 4-2 win at Morecambe was their sixth game unbeaten in all competitions. Cardoza said: "We've got a good set of players but he's brought some belief and confidence back, which we were lacking. "You hope a new manager will turn things round and he seems to have got hold of that situation. "It's early days but I'm very happy with the performances and results."
