Sampson keen to extend JJ stay

Johnson, 21, has started every game since arriving at Sixfields at the end of September, and Sampson is keen for him to stay. Sampson said: "John's loan runs out after this weekend's game at Morecambe but we want to keep him. "It was agreed that we could extend the loan with Gareth, but obviously now he has left the club. "We will talk to them this week but hope there will be no problem."
