Russell signals Town exit

Northampton Town loan midfielder Alex Russell has played down talk of him making his move to Sixfields into a permanent one.
The 34-year-old schemer has returned to parent club Bristol City for treatment on a knee injury and says he is unlikely to return to Town if the problem is anything too serious.
He told the Chronicle & Echo: "I've got a little bit of a niggle in my knee and I've been worried about that in the past week, so I might have to have it looked at.
"I've had a few opinions and I don't think it's a cartilage problem, it's more annoying than anything because it's making me a bit wary at the moment.
"It flares up in games, but then goes away so I can keep playing. It's not a nice thing to have in the back of your mind."
Of the prospects of a long-term deal with the Cobblers, Russell added: "It's hard for me because I've spent my whole career trying to get to that level (the Championship) and I can't walk away from that after two months."
