Pearce waits on Town stay

Northampton Town loanee Alex Pearce is waiting to find out whether his time with the Cobblers will be extended into a second month.

The 18-year-old Reading defender has helped Town win two and draw one of his five games with the League One side and Pearce is open to a longer stay at Sixfields.

He told the club's official website: "I have been fairly pleased with my form since I have been at the club, but you always think you can do better.

"My loan is up after Saturday and I will leave the decision about extending it up to the two clubs."
