The 5th February has seen some interesting moments in the Cobblers history

Despite the scoreline the standout game is probably the meeting with Manchester United on this day in 1966.

The Cobblers travelled up as equals to the great Reds team, having been promoted to the first division the season before, but were undone by Bobby Charlton with a hat-trick and Dennis Law with a double in a 6-2 defeat.

Town themselves registered a 6-2 scoreline against Southend United in 1955.

Last time out on this day was just one year ago when the Cobblers and Barnet played out a scoreless draw.
