McGleish appeal fails

Northampton Town have had their appeal against skipper Scott McGleish's sending-off against Nottingham Forest rejected by the FA.
McGleish was dismissed for a clash with Julian Bennett just past the hour mark of a 1-0 defeat at Sixfields and will now have to serve a three-match suspension.
Cobblers boss John Gorman told the club's official website: "We are very disappointed with the decision.
"In our opinion the pictures show that the elbow was down and the report says he was sent off for using the elbow.
"That was at odds with the Nottingham Forest player needing treatment to his leg. The two did collide but there was no elbow.
"We feel that Scott has been hard done by."
