League does not lie - Defender

Tuesday night's defeat at Yeovil left Stuart Gray's side in the bottom four for the first time this season with just seven games remaining, but Jackman is confident of survival. "Of course we can stay up, but it is down to ourselves. We got ourselves into this mess and it is down to ourselves to get out of it. "It is still in our own hands, which is a good thing. We have got an extra game in hand on a few teams, but we've got a lot of hard work to do. We need to pull together, grind it out and pull together in the right direction. "We need to roll our sleeves up and graft. There are seven games to go, seven cup finals as the manager said. We need to run harder, pass better and out-fight teams as well. "The league table doesn't lie. We haven't put in good enough performances this year, we haven't done it for long periods in games, we haven't killed teams off when we should have. Our goal difference is good but we need to start scoring a few more goals and killing teams off, especially playing against teams like Yeovil who are around us."
