Jones talks up Cobblers
09 Oct 2007 - 13:57:46
Northampton Town loanee Daniel Jones sees no reason why the Cobblers cannot be challenging for a promotion place this term.
The 21-year-old Wolves defender is enjoying his time at Sixfields and believes the Town squad is capable of building on a solid start and pushing for a play-off spot.
He told the League One side's official website: "Realistically I think anyone can beat anyone in this league and I think we've shown that we can certainly compete with the best.
"We need to just keep playing the football that we have been and then see where that takes us.
"I'm really enjoying my football here and I'd love to stay here permanently. This is a great club and if the opportunity arose for me to join permanently then I'd jump at the chance.
"I'm ambitious, I do want to play in the Championship, but for me there is no reason why that can't be with Northampton Town under Stuart Gray."
