Jones enjoying Town return

Loan star Daniel Jones has admitted that he recently asked to return to Northampton Town recently, having impressed at Sixfields earlier in the campaign.

The 21-year-old returned to Wolves for just over a month at the end of January, but is now back with the Cobblers, having spent the first half of the season with the League One outfit.

Jones told the Chronicle & Echo: "I asked the manager at Wolves if I could come back out on loan, because I wasn't playing and this is where I wanted to come.

"Obviously I know everybody in the team and they are a great bunch of lads and, because of how well they are doing, I wanted to be part of that.

"I've no idea how long I'll be here for. I'm here to play football for Northampton, so I'll just keep doing my stuff here."

Jones has scored three goals in 31 appearances for Town this season.
