Northampton Town have handed defender Danny Jackman a 12-month contract extension.
Last season's player of the year will now remain at Sixfields until at least June 2010 after impressing manager Stuart Gray in his first campaign with the club.
Jackman joined the Cobblers last summer from Gillingham.
"Danny Jackman has agreed to this contract extension and that's great news," Gray told the club's official website.
"Danny deserves his extension because he's a very good player who enjoyed a good season last season.
"He has quality and a first-class attitude. He's a sought after player and he's adaptable which is very important."
Meanwhile, Gray is hoping to agree similar extensions with 'two or three' other members of his first-team squad.
