Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray has signed a new contract that will keep him at Sixfields until the end of the 2009-10 campaign.
The 48-year-old former Southampton boss has been in charge of the Cobblers for the last 16 months and has established the club in League One.
Chairman David Cardoza is delighted with the news, telling Town's official website: "Stuart is, in my opinion, the best manager I've worked with since coming to the club.
"We have a very good personal relationship and I have the upmost faith in his coaching and managerial capabilities.
"When Stuart arrived we looked like a team that could easily be relegated. Now we're being tipped for the play-offs.
"It was very important for the continued development of the football club that Stuart extended his contract and this is a big boost for all of us."
