Gray slams beaten Town

Northampton Town midfielder Ryan Gilligan has admitted that manager Stuart Gray laid into his players after the 2-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Gray was furious after seeing Town lose for the first time this season, with the Cobblers players locked in the Withdean dressing room for more than half an hour.

Gilligan told the Northampton Chronicle: "Everyone has got to perform every week. The manager reminded us of that after the game on Saturday.

"There can be no room for complacency in the team at all. He's told us he'll go to the chairman if necessary to get the money to buy new players."
