Gray hails Crowe winner

Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray hailed Jason Crowe's match winning strike in Monday's 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Brentford.

The Cobblers ended a five-match wait for a victory courtesy of Crowe's 31st minute thunderbolt at Griffin Park.

"We got our rewards with a fantastic goal from Jason," said Gray.

"It was a hell of a strike and it was one of those when you know as soon as it leaves his foot it had every chance of going in.

"In the second half they came at us and we had to defend the box, but overall we enjoyed the win and thoroughly deserved the three points."
