Gray cool about Cobblers

Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray remains calm about his summer transfer activity, despite making just one signing so far.

The Cobblers have brought in Gillingham's Danny Jackman to bolster their defensive ranks, with Gray more than content that Chris Doig and Jason Crowe have penned new deals with Town.

He told the Northampton Chronicle: "People think we've made one signing this summer, but I would argue we've made three quality signings with Chris Doig and Jason Crowe re-signing.

"I was very concerned that they were out of contract and that we were going to lose them.

"The defensive side of things is very well set now and I'm very happy with the players we've got in that department.

"Now we just need to look at the attacking options we've got."
