Gray clinches double deal

Northampton Town have completed a double deal, signing Chesterfield striker Colin Larkin and former Norwich City forward Ian Henderson.

The duo have both penned two-year contracts with the Cobblers, Larkin having decided to end a two-year stint with the Spireites, while Henderson was released by City after more than five years at Carrow Road.

Town boss Stuart Gray told the Northampton Chronicle: "I am hoping that the move here will bring the best out of Colin.

"Hopefully the service he gets, together with his own work, will see him hit the back of the net for us as often as possible.

"Ian is a young player with a great pedigree. He can play up front or out wide on the flank and he has the pace and ability to fill either position.

"He has plenty of pace, a good background and he also has the determination and hunger to achieve something with us."
