Doig inks Cobblers deal

Northampton Town defender Chris Doig has pledged his future to the club by penning a new two-year contract that will keep him at Sixfields until the end of the 2008-09 campaign.
The 25-year-old has made 97 appearances for the Cobblers since his free transfer move from Nottingham Forest two years ago.
"We're very pleased to have agreed this new contract with Chris," boss Stuart Gray told the club's official website.
"He's been as solid as a rock for us on a consistent basis and has captained the side with distinction.
"He's a player who'd no doubt have attracted interest from elsewhere, possibly from clubs in the Championship, and we're delighted he'll be staying here."
