    Crowe stay delights Gray

    14 Jun 2007 - 16:08:35

Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray is pleased with the way his summer is progressing after confirming that Jason Crowe has signed a new two-year contract with the Cobblers.

The 28-year-old has spent the last two seasons at the Sixfields Stadium following his transfer from Grimsby Town and has been a regular in the side in that time, making 96 appearances for the club.

"I'm delighted to have agreed this new contract with Jason," Gray told Town's official website.

"He's been exceptional for us on a consistent basis and he's a quality player. He's a player who did attract interest from other clubs and we're delighted to have secured his signature.

"Now we've added Jason to Chris Doig and Danny Jackman that's a further sign of our ambition and is another key player we have secured. I'm delighted he's agreed to stay.

"This means we have an excellent base to build from and it's another piece of our planning in place.

"We have a number of quality defenders in the squad and we're continuing our work to strengthen further up the field."
