Cobblers snare Guttridge
04 Aug 2008 - 16:45:45
Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray believes Luke Guttridge can enjoy a successful time with the club after the midfielder penned a two-year contract with the Cobblers.
Guttridge impressed Gray during a successful trial spell at Sixfields and the Town boss has high hopes for the 26-year-old former Cambridge United, Southend United, Leyton Orient and Colchester United player.
Gray told the club's official website: "We're delighted to have signed Luke. I've been impressed with his ability on the ball, he can use both feet and he's got a goal in him.
"He's not had a pre-season as such, so I think he can get better, but what I do like about him is that he can dominate games from midfield.
"I think he did that in our game against Luton and to an extent against West Brom but the pleasing thing is that he can still improve.
"He is the right age, he's got a decent record wherever he's been and I think he definitely adds something to the squad."
