Cobblers seal keeper signing

Northampton Town have signed Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding on a three-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old's stay at Sixfields will be reviewed on a monthly basis, with Fielding yet to break into the Rovers first-team set-up.

He impressed during a season-long loan stay at Wycombe Wanderers last season.

Cobblers boss Stuart Gray told the club's official website: "He is a good young keeper.

"For a keeper so young he has a good deal of experience after a successful loan at Wycombe last season and he is coming here to add to our squad.

"Frank will come in to work with and challenge Chris Dunn.

"Chris has done well in the two games since Mark Bunn left and he will benefit from working alongside Frank, who has an excellent grounding the game."
