Cobblers eye loan arrivals

Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray is ready to move into the loan market after learning that Luke Guttridge is set to be out of action for the next two weeks.

Guttridge suffered a medial knee ligament problem during the warm-up before Saturday's match and joins an already lengthy Sixfields injury list.

Gray told Town's official website: "At this moment in time I've only got 15 fit players to choose from but I'm hoping to maybe bring someone in on loan.

"I've put in a few phone calls so hopefully something will happen because we're a bit thin on the ground in terms of numbers at the moment so we just want to boost the squad up a little bit.

"We probably could have done with a few extra days before our next game to try and get one or two players fit and we'll definitely be without Liam Davis, Colin Larkin and Luke Guttridge on Tuesday night."
