Cobblers clinch wing double

Northampton Town have added two new faces to their squad on the eve of the new League Two season.

Stoke City winger Ben Marshall, 18, has joined the Cobblers on a three-month loan, while 19-year-old QPR wideman Romone Rose moves to Sixfields on a one-month loan deal.

Cobblers boss Stuart Gray told the club's official website: "We have watched Ben play in pre-season and we were very impressed.

"He can play on either flank and he both creates and scores goals. He has a lot of ability and talent and I am sure he can make a difference to us.

"We have also been looking for a right-winger with pace and Romone has that."
