Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray believes he can get the best out of Liam Davis after signing the former Coventry City player on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old only started four games during his time with the Sky Blues and spent most of the season just ended on the fringes of the first-team squad.
Gray told the Cobblers' official website: "Liam has a lot of potential. He's a left-sided player with good pace and a lot of skill.
"He has a good engine and is a natural athlete. I'm sure we can help get the best out of him and he's a player with the hunger and desire to do well.
"He can play on the wing or at full-back and gives us options down the left-hand side, very much like Daniel Jones did last season.
"Liam will be a good addition to the squad and our work to strengthen further is still ongoing."
