Around League Two: Bosses linked with Blades
Two of the division's gaffers are in the running to take over at Sheffield United Gary Speed left Bramall Lane this week to become the new manager of Wales, leaving an attractive-looking vacancy despite the South Yorkshire club's lowly league position in the Championship. Sheffield-born Micky Adams, currently flying high in League Two with Port Vale, has been strongly linked with the post although his number two Geoff Horsfield, himself an ex-United player, told The Sentinel: "Micky gets on with the job and, as he's so professional, he won't get unsettled. "He is 100 per cent committed to Vale." Another one-time Blades striker meanwhile is also being touted as Speed's successor. Paul Peschisolido is currently cutting his managerial teeth at Burton Albion. "It's very flattering. I had a great time at Sheffield United," he said. "I had a good rapport with the fans and know the club but I haven't heard anything. I am just concentrating on playing Accrington on Saturday."
