Wycombe Boss Warns Opponents

15 April 2013 07:52
The Cobblers have an immediate chance to pick themselves from a devastating home defeat against York City

Northampton Town travel to face Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night having lost pole position in the race for automatic promotion. The Cobblers now need other results to go their way to secure a top-three finish but the most pressing priority for Aidy Boothroyd''s team is to make sure of their place in the play-offs.

Wanderers secured a 2-1 victory against Aldershot at the weekend and manager Gareth Ainsworth has challenged his team to maintain their momentum until the end of the campaign.

"People are probably coming here thinking Wycombe have nothing to play for and how wrong they''re going to be because we''ve got everything to play for," he said.

"I''ve got a proud set of lads here who want to win and finish the season on a high."
