Wilder wants Oxford lessons learned

Chris Wilder felt his U's side deserved at least a point from their Good Friday trip to Northampton

Goals in the first and last minutes from the home side virtually secured their League Two survival and added to the frustration for Wilder, whose men equalised after the break and then saw a penalty saved.

The United boss, who felt there was 'only going to be one winner' after the visitors had levelled the game, wants the lessons of conceding late to be learned.

'Going into the last five minutes, if we can’t win then we need to take something from the game and that’s been the message to the players.

'That’s what has disappointed me, we should have had three points with the quality of the play, but we’d have taken one.'
