Town Put In A Top Ten

Despite defeat at Oxford on Saturday, Northampton's last 10 games have produced a healthy haul of points

After the Cobblers first 10 games of the current season we wrote on Footy Mad that their record was similar to 2011/12.

We added however: 'It was the next set of 10 league games which set the alarm bells started ringing for Town and which spelt the end for Gary Johnson.

Only 1 win was recorded with 2 draws, 7 defeats and a massive 26 goals conceded, culminating of course in the appointment of Aidy Boothroyd as boss.'

Now under Boothroyd, Northampton have recorded 5 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats in games 11-20 with 18 goals for and 14 against, leaving them in a healthy position in League Two.
