Sampson wants set-piece progress

Northampton boss Ian Sampson has challenged his players to improve their return from set-pieces after breaking their duck last weekend. Captain Andy Holt netted with a powerful header to give Sampson's side their first league win of the season over Southend and the manager is determined to find the net on a more regular basis. He said: "It was about time we had a centre-half score from a corner. We work hard on our set plays. "It was nice to see one come off. We hadn't worked specifically hard on it in the week before the game, we're always looking to try different runs and different moves because the scouts see what you do. "Set plays are massive in any type of football and if you can score from them then you'll always have a chance in any game."
