Sampson stunned by late leveller

Northampton boss Ian Sampson admitted it was galling to concede in stoppage time after seeing his side draw 1-1 with Aldershot at the Recreation Ground. Ben Harding lashed home a last-gasp equaliser to cancel out Billy McKay's strike 10 minutes before the break. While the result maintains Aldershot's unbeaten start to the campaign, the visitors remain winless this season to the disappointment of boss Sampson. "For them to score with pretty much the last kick of the game is a real sickener," he said. "There was a lot of pressure on us at the end but I thought we dealt with it well. We put bodies on the line and we got blocks in where needed. "With 10 seconds to go I had my thoughts ready to say and then that happened. I thought we were pretty solid and we created a few chances. "We had the lead and it was just a case of holding on, and it is very disappointing that we are still looking for our first win. It has become a bit of a monkey on our backs and we need to get three points as quickly as possible. I'm sick of drawing games and I think the players are as well."
