Sampson stills wants Cobblers job

The Cobblers slipped to their second successive defeat and third in all competitions after Will Buckley hit a second-half winner for Rochdale.[LNB]Ryan Gilligan had earlier looked to have earned the Cobblers a share of the spoils after he cancelled out Chris O'Grady's first half opener.[LNB]"I still want the job," declared Sampson. "When you're struggling you need the breaks in front of goal and we're not getting those at the moment but I was pleased with our second half performance, we gave it a real go.[LNB]"We showed them too much respect in the first half and we looked very low on confidence. We had to change things at half-time and we were much better in the second half, having several shots on goal. But we didn't show enough composure when we equalised and we switched off for their winner at a crucial time.[LNB]"I'm still searching for the right team and formation to win us a game but I still want to be in charge."[LNB][LNB]
