Sampson blasts 'worst display'

02 December 2009 13:13
The Cobblers were booed by the home crowd after goals from Darren Jones, Mathieu Manset and substitute Craig King had cancelled out an opener from Ryan Gilligan in the first 30 seconds.[LNB]Sampson was at a loss to explain the performance, saying: "Scoring so early we should have gone on to take the game by the scruff of the neck. That's the disappointing part.[LNB]"In the last two games we have performed well but this was the worst performance this season. We lacked enthusiasm and sharpness. If you can't pass the ball you have got problems.[LNB]"The fans have a right to boo and they are an unforgiving crowd here. But it will just make me more determined to turn things around.[LNB]"I have to instil confidence and introduce systems and tactics and take the positives from the previous two matches while burying this game."[LNB][LNB]
