Rovers look for home comforts

Bristol Rovers are still searching for their first league win of the season on home soil ahead of their game against the Cobblers

Cheltenham were the latest visitors to get a result at the Memorial Ground, winning Wednesday night's local derby by a single goal.

"We had plenty of the ball, but we just didn't manage to create enough chances and we conceded a poor goal," said manager Mark McGhee after the game.

"It gave Cheltenham something to hang on to and, as much as we huffed and puffed, we didn't make good enough chances to go on and get something from the game."

Northampton visit next but McGhee added: "Even though we are disappointed, there was some good stuff and it certainly wasn't all bad. The result is everything really, but I have to look beyond that and there were some positives."
