Robinson gives Cobblers the boot

Jake Robinson grabbed two goals in four second-half minutes to help Shrewsbury to a 3-1 win over Northampton. Kevin Thornton cancelled out Matt Harrold's opener to drag the Cobblers level shortly before half-time, but Robinson then took centre stage to lift Shrewsbury to the top of npower League Two. The Shrews went ahead after 12 minutes, Harrold firing home at the second attempt after his initial effort had been blocked by Seb Harris. Northampton came under pressure for much of the opening 45 minutes but went in level courtesy of Thornton's brilliant 20-yard free-kick. Robinson fired the hosts back in front four minutes after the interval, the forward breaking clear and slotting past Dunn amid appeals for offside. And the former Brighton man made it 3-1 soon after, exchanging passes with strike partner Harrold before firing in a low shot from 20 yards.
