The Cobblers face a quick re-match with Dagenham & Redbridge this weekend It was the home side who edged it when the teams met on December 26 but Town boss Ian Sampson admitted the game could have gone either way. "They are fairly direct," he told the official club website. "But they have got an honest bunch of players and when we played them here on Boxing Day it was a tight game." The Daggers are set to pitch in their new signing, former Plymouth Argyle defender Damien McCrory "He's ambitious and I got the right answers when I spoke to him prior to the move, boss John Still told the Barking & Dagenham Post this week. "I liked what he said, and he has seen what we can do for players, with the amount who have moved on from here, so he wants to make a career with us." Some of Dagenham's fringe players were in action against Tottenham earlier in the week, a closed-doors friendly giving the likes of Eidur Gudjohnsen and Younes Kaboul the chance to make their Spurs' debuts.
