Luke Wilkinson is looking for a new club after leaving Portsmouth The 19-year-old defender spent a short spell on loan at Northampton earlier in the year but did not make a first-team appearance for Ian Sampson's side. He had told the club's official website on arrival: "I'm looking forward to getting my head down in training and trying to get into the first team. "Everyone has been very welcoming and the atmosphere in the squad seems very good. "I am a natural centre-back but I can play at right-back, I like to get the ball down and play but I can head and kick it when I need to. " Financial woes at Fratton Park have led to a host of fringe players being released this week.
