Bradley Johnson believes the arrival of Stuart Gray as manager at Sixfields kickstarted his career

Rejected by Arsenal as a youngster the 25-year-old midfielder has worked his way back up to the top-flight via Cambridge, Northampton, Leeds and now Norwich.

Ahead of the Canaries Monday night game against Sunderland he said: "Under Stuart I didn't look back. I played virtually every game, likewise under Simon Grayson when Leeds took me there.

"I've been very lucky to work with some superb coaches who saw a lot in me when other people didn't.

Paul Lambert at Norwich is one of those guys.

"He reminds you that you can't achieve anything without hard work and good team spirit. I know that under him the club will be successful."

Johnson made over 50 appearances for Northampton before his move to Leeds in 2008.

Cobblers midfielder Arron Davies meanwhile wants his side to use Saturday's win over Dagenham & Redbridge as the springboard for a more consistent run of form.

"In patches, we've showed what we can do," he told BBC Radio Northampton.

"We've got a couple of games now [where] we're fancied to go on a run. We've threatened to do it for a while but we've got to start doing it rather saying it."

The first of those games is against Barnet at the weekend. Check out the head-to-head of the two sides meetings with each other by clicking here http://www.northamptontown-mad.co.uk/footydb/loadhed.asp
