Northampton v Scunthorpe Utd

20 April 2009 05:31
Northampton have fitness concerns over Jason Crowe, Paul Rodgers and Adebayo Akinfenwa but midfielder Luke Guttridge returns from a knee injury. Giles Coke, Scott Vernon and Colin Larkin will all be missing through injury once again. Scunthorpe have doubts over on-loan winger Henri Lansbury and fellow loanee full-back Joseph Millis, but Garry Thompson is back in training. Midfielder Sam Togwell is suspended while defender Kenny Milne is injured. Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Look North: "It would have been good to get a point or all three [against MK Dons] but we didn't so what we do is move on. "Our destiny is very much in our own hands and it starts at Northampton, and it's a game we've got to go out and win. "It'll be a right scrap [so] you've got to compete. We've got to have loads of energy about ourselves and, all being well, the quality that we have in the team will come through. "I thought we looked jaded at the weekend. We look at ourselves on the coaching side of things and how we do the training throughout the week because we want the lads to be in tip-top condition when they come in."
