Northampton boss Rob Page is forced to change his starting line-up for the first time in four matches as Manchester United come to town in the EFL Cup third round.
Winger Paul Anderson, who joined the Cobblers on the final day of the summer transfer window, is ineligible against United having featured in the competition for his previous club Bradford.
The Cobblers were beaten for the first time in 32 league matches by Chesterfield on Saturday, but despite a disappointing display at the Proact Stadium Page is unlikely to make many more changes.
The likes of JJ Hooper, John-Joe O'Toole, Alfie Potter, Sam Hoskins and Marc Richards will be hoping they get the nod to come in and play.
Luke Shaw is set to miss out for United, and Anthony Martial is a doubt.
Left-back Shaw sustained a slight groin tear in Sunday's defeat to Watford, which forward Martial left during the first half following a nasty-looking clash of heads.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also a doubt for a match Phil Jones (knee) misses out on.
