Northampton without suspended Leon Barnett for Fleetwood clash

Northampton will be without defender Leon Barnett for Saturday's Sky Bet League One home clash with Fleetwood.

Barnett serves a one-match suspension following his red card in the 1-0 Carabao Cup loss at QPR on Tuesday.

Boss Justin Edinburgh is hopeful Daniel Powell, who missed Tuesday's game with a hamstring problem, will be available.

Brendan Moloney (hamstring) and Shaun McWilliams (ankle) could also be fit for selection again having returned to training, but John-Joe O'Toole (groin), Sam Foley and Sam Hoskins (both knee) remain sidelined.

Harvey Rodgers will also serve a suspension for Fleetwood.

The young defender was sent off on his debut in the Carabao Cup loss to Carlisle in midweek and was issued with a one-match ban as a result.

Manager Uwe Rosler made six changes in midweek and his starting XI at Northampton is more likely to resemble the one which he deployed against Rotherham on the opening day.

That means recalls for the likes of Conor McAleny, who scored twice on his debut, Kyle Dempsey and Bobby Grant.
