Selection poser for Wilder

Northampton boss Chris Wilder faces a selection dilemma for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two game against Exeter.

The Cobblers earned a place in the second round of the Capital One Cup with a 3-0 win over League One side Blackpool but new signings Ryan Clarke, Sam Hoskins and loanee Dominic Calvert-Lewin all impressed and are pushing for league starts.

Alfie Potter and John Joe O'Toole should return to the starting XI after being named on the bench.

Town have no new injury concerns for the match.

Paul Tisdale may choose to stick with the side that defeated League One side Swindon in the cup in midweek.

Tisdale praised his side's defensive performance after the 2-1 win, singling out Ryan Harley, Troy Brown, Jordan Tillson and goalscorers Alex Nicholls and David Wheeler as the Grecians continued their winning start to the season.

Veteran striker Clinton Morrison may feature in some capacity, as he tries to earn a new contract before his current deal expires at the end of the month.

Lee Holmes (thigh) and Tom McCready (back) should return to contention, while David Noble will be assessed after sitting out the Swindon fixture.
