Morris back for Cobblers

Northampton hope to welcome back Ian Morris for the weekend's clash with Chesterfield.

The winger has not featured this calendar year due to a hamstring injury but returned to full training this week.

Loanee James Hurst is ready to finally make his debut after last weekend's game at Torquay was postponed.

Caretaker Andy King will have to make one change from the club's last outing on January 11 against York after Kevin Amankwaah was released from the club on Thursday.

Marc Richards will miss Chesterfield's trip through suspension.

Richards was shown a straight red card against Rochdale after referee Andy D'Urso ruled that the striker had handled the ball on the goal-line.

Armand Gnanduillet is likely to come back into the team while Richards serves a one-match ban, although Eoin Doyle is also an option for manager Paul Cook.

The Spireites will check on Drew Talbot after an abductor problem prevented him from emerging for the second half on Tuesday night while fellow defender Ian Evatt has also been receiving treatment following the dramatic 2-2 draw with Dale.
