How the Cobblers and the Bees have fared against each other

Northampton Town take on Barnet on Saturday in a crucial fixture at the foot of League Two.

The two sides have met on 13 previous occasions at the home of the Cobblers and there is little to choose between them with 4 wins for Northampton and 5 for Barnet.

Just under a year ago the teams shared a goalless draw at Sixfields.

Aidy Boothroyd meanwhile has challenged those players who have yet to get a chance during his reign to keep the faith and force their way into his plans.

"We've got a lot of players who aren't involved at the moment, but that's life. I can only name a starting XI and five substitutes and so far I believe those players are justifying their selection," he said on Thursday.

"Until I think otherwise then I won't change that.

"I had a look at a few of the lads in a practice game on Monday and it wasn't a punishment, it was for the guys that are not in the team to try to get themselves into it.

"I'm flexible and I'll change it if I can think somebody can come in and change the team for the better."
