Northampton boss 'impressed' with midfield target
Paul Turnbull is being linked with the Cobblers A new contract offer is on the table at Stockport County for the 22-year-old midfield target but the prospect of an immediate return to league football may tempt him to look elsewhere. Turnbull has come through the ranks at Edgeley Park to make nearly 150 appearances for Stockport and was in action against Gary Johnson's Peterborough in the FA Cup last season. “I saw him play on three occasions...and I was very impressed with him,” said Johnson, quoted in the Chronicle & Echo. “We’re looking at a number of players at the moment but there’s nothing to be confirmed at this stage.”
