McKenzie wait for Cobblers

Northampton manager Ian Sampson is waiting on the fitness of striker Leon McKenzie before naming his squad to face Lincoln. McKenzie took his tally to five goals in three appearances at the weekend with the winner against Gillingham but struggles to play twice in four days because of nagging hip and knee injuries. However, Sampson is keen for him to play at Sincil Bank with the option of resting him for next Saturday`s FA Cup trip to Forest Green if necessary. Sampson saw Ryan Gilligan (knee), Liam Davis (back) and Marcus Hall (thigh) all pick up knocks in the 2-1 win on Saturday but expects the trio to be fit to start. Forwards Courtney Herbert (foot) and Tadhg Purcell (knee) remain sidelined.
