McCready in contention for Cobblers

McCready was left on the bench for the 3-0 defeat at Shrewsbury on Saturday but Sampson was fuming with his side's defending in that loss and is ready to bring McCready back into his defence. Goalkeeper Chris Dunn was surprisingly recalled at the New Meadow and will keep his place ahead of Simon Brown while winger Ben Marshall is also hopeful of returning to the starting XI after impressing from the bench. Wing-back Liam Davis is due back in light training this week after breaking his metatarsal in pre-season and he is Sampson's only absentee. The Cobblers have lost five games in a row since beating leaders Bournemouth at the end of August and are in dire need of the points against the Millers - for whom Ronnie Moore will begin his second spell in charge.
