With his team booed off the pitch last night and fans angry at another defeat, Cobblers boss Gary Johnson was confident of receiving support while he attempts to turn things around.

“There is time to get it right, of course there is,” said Johnson. “We haven’t been able to pick the same team on too many occasions this season.

“We are missing Adebayo Akinfenwa and Arron Davies but the squad we’ve got here should be able to cope without those two players.

“This is the same group of players who were winning games at Wimbledon and earlier in the season, it’s the same squad.

The Cobblers are now 19th in Division 2, just three points above the relegation places and now start preparing for the visit of Rotherham United to Sixfields on Saturday.
