Northampton boss Gary Johnson believes the appointment of his brother as the club`s new chief scout will ensure a busy summer in the transfer market. Johnson has made six signings since replacing Ian Sampson at the start of March and is expected to bring in a host of new players to Sixfields as he prepares for his first full season in charge. He has brought in brother Peter Johnson to bolster his scouting network and believes their experience of working together will help build a strong squad for League Two. Gary Johnson said: "I have worked with Peter for a number of years. "He was with me at both Bristol City and Peterborough United and he knows what I am looking for in a player and that is important. "Having worked together for many years we have an excellent understanding and Peter has a very good network of both players and contacts and that is very important for any club to have."
