Jacobs is coming on well - Gray
The 17-year-old turned in a man-of-the-match performance as the Cobblers beat Stanford on Thursday night, and with Gray having to name seven substitutes in League Two this season with a small squad he should feature in the coming weeks.
Gray said: "I was impressed with Michael Jacobs on Thursday. He delivered some good crosses into the box and he showed bravery on the ball.
"He helped boss the game for us and all credit to him for that. He is only a young scholar but he is coming on well."
