Holt rescues draw for Cobblers
And Cobblers almost snatched all three points in stoppage time when substitute Kevin Thornton's 30-yard free kick hit the underside of the bar.[LNB]The woodwork had twice denied Northampton before Holt cancelled out Shaun Harrad's opener.[LNB]Billy McKay, Holt and Courtney Herbert all went close in the first half for Northampton, while Harrad was denied by Chris Dunn at the other end.[LNB]Harrad opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when he turned and volleyed home from 15 yards with a clinical finish.[LNB]McKay hit the underside of the bar 10 minutes later and Luke Guttridge shaved a post with an 86th minute free kick. Two minutes later Holt converted a cross from substitute, Paul Rodgers, and Thornton almost won it in stoppage time.[LNB][LNB]
