Heartbreak At Wembley

for well beaten Cobblers

For the thousands who travelled from Northampton and surrounding areas, the Cobblers were well beaten by Bradford City in an afternoon to forget in North London.

Although not conceding any further goals to the first half three, Northampton never looked like making a game of it and this was probably their worst 90 minutes of the whole season.

Looking for positives from a miserable afternoon this season has seen the club improve both on and off the field and you hope that with two or three quality signings the Cobblers can challenge for automatic promotion.

Congratulations to Phil Parkinson and his Bradford City team who on the day thoroughly deserved their victory which has helped exorcise the beating they took 12 weeks ago in the League Cup defeat to Swansea City.
