Harris earns brief Cobblers deal

The deal comes amid a striker crisis at Sixfields ahead of the first game of the season against Macclesfield and Harris' presence will provide Gray with some much-needed options up front. Last season's top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa limped off during Saturday's friendly at MK Dons, a trip that fellow forwards Steve Guinan and Gary Mulligan were ruled out of with respective back and ankle problems. Gray said: "We have decided to take Seb for a six-month period to have a better look at him. "He is very raw, but he is full of energy and has plenty of enthusiasm. He has caught our eye with his displays in training. "He has a lot of good attributes, he has pace and is good in the air and with day in, day out coaching and training here, we think he will improve."
